It’s on the gear pedal side of the bike. Remove the ring of 9 bolts with an 8 mm socket or a torx bit. (They are all different lengths so make sure you know which one came from where!) \u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eWhen pulling the cover off it will have some resistance as it is magnetic. Let it hang on the wiring (no need to remove any wiring).\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eEnsure the gasket comes off with the cover.\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eAlso ensure that the 2 circular cover locators are still in the flywheel cover or in the engine casing. \u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eAt this point if they are in the cover, it is easier to remove them from the cover if they pull out with fingers and fit them into the engine casing. If they don’t come out with fingers, leave them in position (it’s just slightly trickier when putting back on).\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003ePut the gasket on to the locators and the gasket will sit in the right position. \u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eThen fit the flywheel weight onto the stepped part of the flywheel. It’s the only way it can fit. \u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eEnsure grub screws are not protruding into the inside of the flywheel weight or it will prevent you from sliding it onto the flywheel. \u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eTake a wooden or rubber mallet and slowly tap evenly around until it stops up against the step on the flywheel.\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eTighten up the grub screws. \u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eYou can use a tiny amount of MILD loc-tite on the grub screws. (I don’t use this as I am not a fan of loc-tite when you are taking parts on and off as it wears threads out. I just tighten them up nicely).\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eCheck the cover\/gasket locators are in place (there are 2). \u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eMake sure gasket is sitting correctly.\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eRe-fit cover ensuring it fits flat against the engine casing before fitting any bolts. \u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003ePut the bolts in the correct holes.\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eTighten up nicely without over tightening.
